    Description

Beatty Glass began in Steubenville, Ohio in 1845.  During and after the Civil War they led the US in glass tumbler production  bringing luxury style items to average homeowners table. They specialized in finely tinted opalescent glass.  In 1889 production began at their new plant in Tiffin, Ohio. Pieces were unsigned until 1892 when the company was absorbed by USGlass and their logo was adopted.  This is a 4.5 vase.  It is about 4" across. This piece will glow under a black light.    I find no  flaws in this approximately 130 year old piece of glass.
