Antique Cooperative Flint Company, Rays, 12” White Opalescent Swung Vase c 1904
For me, one of the charms of a swung vase is that no two are alike. Each one very plainly shows that it was a PERSON who made this piece, not a machine. For this particular vase, that comes as you turn it to view all sides, only to learn that it isn't quite straight!
This is a beautiful piece of glass, and the only thing wrong with it is some dirt in the bottom that I couldn't get out. Seriously - I don't think it is anything that some water, dry rice, and a load of patience can't fix. Alas, I am sadly lacking in the patience department.
This vase measures almost exactly 12" tall, and nearly 4" across the base.

Vintage and antique glass may have developed "Character" over time. I will do my best to describe flaws or defects. Antique/vintage glass may have air bubbles, heat checks, ash residue or shearing/straw marks from the manufacturing process. These are not considered defects. True chips or cracks will be disclosed.
I do not oil my glass. I try to use white light or daylight for all photos. Photos that have been altered in any way other than brightness, contrast, or cropping will be also be disclosed.
