WHY USE WAX?
Gelcoat will not harden if it is exposed to the air
The wax in the Gel-coat rises to the surface and seals the gelcoat from air during the curing process
A Gel-Coat with No Wax is a good choice if you are laying up multiple coats, because you don`t have to remove the wax from the gelcoat surface between coats
If you can seal the repair by placing a sheet of mylar or wax paper over the patch then the Gel-coat without wax will work but if you can`t you need to have the wax in the gelcoat to get it to cure
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Use no less than 1% MEKP, no more than 2% MEKP
Mix thoroughly for 2 minutes
Pot life is approximately 20-25 minutes at 75 degrees Fahrenheit
Complete cure is approximately 45 minutes to 4 hours
Do not use under 65 degrees Fahrenheit
Clean surface and wipe clean with a dry rag
Apply with a Roller or Brush or cup gun application
Apply approximately 20 mils, approximately the thickness of a dime, of gel coat
Covers approximately 20 sq. ft. per quart, or 80 sq. ft. per gallon
May add up to 4 % pigment, normally 1oz. per quart, or 4oz. per gallon by volume
May be thinned with 10% Styrene
Clean up with Acetone
