    Description

The following is an excerpt from “Standard Encyclopedia of Opalescent Glass; Fourth Edition” page 108, by Bill Edwards & Mike Carwile:
Credited to the Northwood Company in 1905, Palm and Scroll is actually a product of the Dugan Glass Company and was produced in opalescent glass beginning in 1906, in blue, green, and white.
Shapes are various bowl on feet and a neat rose bowl from the same mould.
The design is easily recognized; three palm leaves over the curled and ribbed feet and three very artistic feather scrolls between these designs.
Offered here is a Palm and Scroll bowl.
It measures 8 ½” across the ruffled rim (these bowls have various edges and crimping styles), and a little over 4 ½” high.
The condition is excellent with no chips or nicks.
There are a few production flaws, especially on the rim (see pictures).
This beautiful piece would stand out in any opalescent glass collection.
