    Description

This pattern, chrysanthemum swirl, was designed and first marketed by the Buckeye Glass company in 1890, later to be picked up by Northwood where they used a speckled finish on their products. Very similar to the reverse swirl pattern except for the vertical ribs on the base of the examples. Produce in the usual colors of white, blue or cranberry by Buckeye, Northwood introduced examples in the vaseline opalescent color.  This particular example would have been part of the four piece table set, the creamer. A wonderful example but alas, a crack exists in the handle where it attaches to the top near the rim.  No other damage or staining visible. A slight manufactures flaw on one side where an opalescent rib makes a small loop near the rim as pictured. The creamer measures just over 4 3/4” tall and 4 1/4” from spout to back of handle. This creamer is sold as is. Please view all pictures as they are considered part of the description.
Please check back to my listings often as I will be posting numerous fine examples of glass, pottery and porcelain in the near future.
    Thank you.
